Tow Ratings
When it comes to a vehicles towing capabilities, it always helps to look at a tow ratings guide to get an idea on where to start. If you own a Ford F150 with an extended cab, automatic transmission, 4-wheel-drive with a V8, then the tow rating chart will give you a starting point on which to find out the towing abilities of the truck.
Keep in mind that a tow vehicle should not be pushed to its maximum tow rating. We recommend that you take 15-20% off of the maximum rating to be safe and to make your towing experience more enjoyable.
